What is a life without a car anyway huh?
Well everyone has a car, I suppose, and cars are evolving day by day.
What do u think will happen in the future when cars keep evolve like this? Here are some clues we can see.
This is some sort of evolved side mirror. We can see its kinda smaller and more casual than normal giant side mirrors.
But this is not we are looking for. We are going to check out something even more naaaasty.
Well check this out. Can you see a side mirror?
Yep, but its really small. Do u see a little monitor on the door that looks like a camera? That's the side mirror we r lookin 4.
This is a concept car of Volkswagen. This little cameras on the both side of the door works as a side mirror and also a black box. This is a collaboration of a mirror and monitor technology. This is expected to reduce air resistance when driving, safer than ordinary side mirrors because it provides the full view through monitor when normal side mirrors show only reflected situations. This is also a black box because it records the whole stuff so we can use it as an evidence when there is a car accident.
Meet another concept car from Kia called The Cub.
This one has a little different design compared to that of Volkswagen, meaning there will be a brand new design competition if this technology becomes a trend.
This one is more unique because the mirror is inside a car.
This will protect the mirror from any crashes. But I'm concerned what if it bothers a driver's sight when driving? or what if there is dead zone because it's stuck in the car?
Well some brilliant Mortal will take care of that I believe.
It is interesting to imagine how cars will evolve in the future.
Some people might think of some SF stuffs like these.
But these cars are way too 2090 dont ya think?
I'm not saying they're impossible, I'm one of those Mortals who thinks that any change is possible. But still, if we focus on more practical matters, we should get rid of the side mirrors as our first step. Honestly they are annoying. Especially when parking. Ya?
But unfortunately, we have the technology on the edge but we can't put into mass produce yet. This is because of the traffic law still stuck in this idea that every cars must have a couple of side mirrors. What a outdated way of thinking. Due to this outdated Mortals, car companies are hesitating to invest on this technology more than they can.
If any one among the Mortals reading my post have some power to make real changes, seriously change that silly law. No one likes it.
