Everyone ready to hear out today's cool technology?
Today we are going to learn what is called 'prosthetic limbs'
Prosthetic limbs is just like how it sounds, they are artificial limbs for those people who lost them or have serious diseases
For example, this beauty is called the 'C-Leg'
Look how machinarily amazing the leg is. It looks even better than the real biological leg!
If anyone have lost their leg by serious car accidents or who has muscle problems that bother them from walking or running properly, 'C-Leg' is their hope to become normal again.
Look at this model wearing C-leg. Look at the big smile and his confident posture. He couldn't even thought of standing still and have a big smile in front of a camera if he didn't meet C-Leg in his life. With C-Leg, he can play soccer again, use stairs again, and do any other things that we do for granted with our two legs.
Prosthetic legs aren't just for humans but also for our forever companion, Dogs
This dog is wearing dog version of prosthetic limbs and he is able to run again and have fun like the other ordinary dogs.
This technology is really giving hope to many people and animals.
Enough looking at disabled people and feel depressed?
Prosthetic limbs are not just for the disabled but also for normal people.
Everyone knows our limbs are not there for us forever. They age, or get hurt by outer forces. Our biological limbs are weaker than the machines we control; such as cars or trucks or even cranes.
But what if we can upgrade our limbs with technology?
Something better, stronger, and long lasting?
The picture above is a prosthetic hand that can 'sense' just like our fingers. Although this is a prototype, scientists expect to see it on the market for everyone in less than 20 years.
If it does, the impact will be tremendously stronger than any invention of mankind, such as smartphone, or the Web, or even fire.
This tech is our key to become something more than human,
something scientists call 'Robo sapiens'
When the border between machine and human becomes blur, our evolution will gradually begin.
Shocking I know, but that's how fast our world is changing
